Rick Wakeman & The English Rock Ensemble

Rick will be appearing with The English Rock Ensemble at The Assembly in Leamington Spa on Friday 13th August at 6pm, tickets £20 in advance online or from the box office at 01926 523001.

Cropredy 2010

We are pleased to confirm that Rick with be appearing at Cropredy this year complete with the English Rock Ensemble. Rick will be appearing on the festival's final day, Saturday 14th August. In Rick's words, "It's always a treat to get the English Rock Ensemble together and so when the invitation came to perform at the Cropredy festival we jumped at the chance. It's the classic line up of musicians having to find a bit of space around the keyboard rig and that's Tony Fernandez (drums), Lee Pomeroy (bass), Dave Colquhoun (guitars) and Ashley Holt (vocals). Roll on August!"

A Very Intimate Evening With Rick Wakeman

"Although I have stopped the long touring, I do enjoy getting up on stage and playing and have really enjoyed the one man shows with the piano that I have done at a few Arts Festivals over the last couple of years and to this end have decided to "tour" in the UK next year performing just 12 shows - one a month!

At least that was the plan! It seems that many theatres liked the idea of the show, so we're abandoned the concept of one a month. Hence this is now "A Very Intimate Evening with me."

Anderson Wakeman Project 360

We're pleased to announce a series of dates towards the end of 2010 featuring both Rick and his close friend Jon Anderson. The concert series will feature the music of YES, some new songs and of course, the legendary banter between them. There are no plans to add to these 20 dates. There is a tour flyer available to download. In Rick's own words:

"In 2006 Jon and I embarked on an acoustically driven two man tour around the UK. Not only was it thoroughly enjoyable, but it showed our music, both as soloists and as part of YES, in a completely new light and this was one of the most satisfying musical participations that I could have hoped to have been part of.
Jon and I always said we would do it again and to that end, would continue to write new songs together, and this we have done.
This October/November tour will be full of music both old and new and the friendship and camaraderie that we have, will undoubtedly shine through on stage as well as the shared humour of course.
It is planned to both film and record the shows, but a prior filming and recording will take place live, shortly before the official tour starts for which tickets will go on sale around August once all the technicalities have been ironed out.
Working with Jon is always special and these shows will undoubtedly reflect that. If I were a true YES fan, (which I am), I wouldn't miss these shows for the world. But as I'll be on stage, I'll have to buy the dvd to see what it looks like!"
